We managed to get the pick male out of his first litter. Dakota was an awesome dog with great drive but he always had health issues.  He was also extremely dog aggressive. This was our first experience with a working breed. We showed Dakota a couple of times and met Greg Souza at the Roseville Show. Dakota died at 4 years old of liver failure. I knew we wanted another American Bulldog, but this time I wasn’t going to make the same mistakes. I remembered Greg Souza and contacted him to see if he knew of any quality pups available and he happened to have puppies from his current litter available. We only wanted 1 dog. One that I could show and do some bite work with when I had time. That pup was Ranger. We took him everywhere with us. As he started getting older, I began showing him and doing some bite work. It was very clear that this was an amazing breed. That’s when we got the bug and decided to start our own kennel. When I explained my plan to Greg and Tami they were very helpful in guiding us along the right path and helping us select dogs from the right bloodlines for great working drive and even temperaments. Thanks Greg & Tami for all your help past and future.                Our Goals as Breeders                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Our goal at Land Shark Kennels is to  produce a Performance American Bulldog. A Performance American Bulldog should excel at any task you require it to do. It should have lots of working drive with an even temperament and a confident outgoing manner no matter what situation it is in. A Performance American Bulldog should also have good structure and movement. It must also have the athleticism to perform well in any activity you wish to do with the dog, whether it is Schutzhund, WABA titles, Ring Sport, NAPD, Hog Catching, Weight Pulling, Search and Rescue  or Iron Dog . We plan to accomplish this by only breeding hip certified dogs from proven working lines with even temperaments. A good American Bulldog has an intense desire to please its master and that is what makes our breed great.
